  • Thursday, July 30, 2009 - 11:00am

Change That Works will be having a bake sale on the front 'lawn' at Barry's Bikes. It will be Thursday, July 30th from 11-1 with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society to help with health care costs.

As everyone is aware, our country is in a health care crisis. Health care costs are expected to grow 71% over the next decade, which will in turn drive premium increases for health insurance.

We've experienced it first hand and it sucks! We work our asses off and STILL can't afford to have insurance or to help out our wonderful employees! Family insurance is worse! Think of the single moms and dads that have to pay $600-$800 a MONTH!

One business offered their employees health insurance that costs $487 per month. That’s $5,844 per year for a single person! Not including life, dental, vision, and long-term disability. You also have to take into account your out-of-pocket expense. Yikes!

Anyway......come buy some really good food so we can give lots of money to a really good cause!

  • Monday, June 29, 2009 - 5:00pm

We apoligize for the short notice....we were thinking we had another month before this was going on....oops

The Tour de Revs: 3 Guys, 1 Bike, 100 Days, 13,000 miles, 65 cities on their mission to fight world hunger.

Stop by Barry's Bikes on Monday, June 29th at 5pm and check out the amazing Calfee bamboo bike ridden three Lutheran pastors from the WV-WMD synod as they put foot to pedal and seat to saddle and travel over 13,000 miles to raise awareness (and donations) to help eliminate world hunger.

Come see this COOL bike and hear the tales of the road from these amazing riders!
